From: A Series of Unfortunate Events
Villain: Count OLaf
Original:
He claimed to be the uncle of 3 kids, whose parents passed away and left a large amount of fortunes behind. He wanted the money so he adopted the kids, but he treated them badly. Corrected:

This character interest me because he have many interesting ways that he intend to steal the fortunes. And you will want to keep on reading about what Count OLaf is going to do next and how are the children going to escape.
Just one thing. "left a large amount of fortunes behind" You can leave a large fortune behind or a large amount of money but you can't say both together.
